Parts of the Mouth
Your mouth allows you to speak, breathe, and chew. Listed below are specific parts of the mouth and where they are located.

Hard palate. The front of the roof of the mouth.

Soft palate. The back of the roof of the mouth.

Uvula. The soft tissue that hangs from the soft palate.

Tonsils. Lumps of tissue on the sides of the throat.

Retromolar trigone. Tissue that joins the upper and lower jaws.

Floor of the mouth. Soft tissue under the tongue.
